Each role-playing exercise conveys its own lesson-learned. Lessons emphasized in the Asking Questions Curriculum are:
Ability to Identify New Customer Needs:
Customer-facing personnel must be adept at pivoting and finding new customer needs when the original product offering does not attract interest.
Quick Recognition of Information Gathering:
Customer-facing personnel need to quickly recognize when they are being used solely for information without any intent to purchase, and must be able to propose a win-win solution in such situations.
Navigating Competitor Conversations:
Customer-facing personnel should effectively navigate discussions about competitors, challenging long-held assumptions to capture a greater share of the customer’s budget and accurately quantify the opportunity.
Separating Politeness from Genuine Interest:
Customer-facing personnel must distinguish between politeness and genuine interest, and be proficient at quantifying and communicating their value proposition compared to alternatives.
De-escalating Stressful Situations:
Customer-facing personnel need to be skilled at de-escalating stressful situations, such as price increases.
Identifying Decision Makers:
Customer-facing personnel must be able to probe effectively to determine if the customer’s “champion” is not actually the decision-maker.

For teams with limited training budgets, a Self-Guided Asking Questions Workshop can run for as little as $60 USD/person. This Workshop takes approximately 4 hours and is a great add on to team meetings.
For individuals new to customer-facing, or individuals interested in evaluating whether an on-site Asking Questions Workshop is right for their team, our Destination Based Workshops are a great option. These workshops are generally $499 to $699 USD/person; depending on the venue.
For large organizations, and those interested in training an entire team at once, Asking Questions facilitators can come on-site to your chosen location and conduct a Private Workshop. The cost of such workshops varies by the number of attendees.
The cost of a Private Workshop is $10,000 per day for teams up to 24-persons. This is inclusive of all course materials. Travel and expenses are billed separately. Additional participants are charged at a rate of $400/attendee.
